Community Changes and New Fishing Forum
Jun 29, 2009
Thank you so much for making the community site a great success. Our traffic and activity has grown over 600% in the past year and the community site has become a great place to share activities and find out what's going on with the company and community.Kayak fishing has been a huge topic on the community site, so to offer even more features and continue to serve our non-fishing kayakers, we're launching the new Wilderness Systems Fishing Forum. The traditional forum-based site is now live in a Beta version and will continue to evolve over the next month. Our Pro Staff Team are all members and excited to bring the community into a familiar setting.

Here are other important changes moving forward in the Wilderness Systems Ning Community:
1) Blog posts capabilities will no longer be open to all community members. This capability will shift to the Fishing Community Forum, the Sea Kayaker Forum, or the Touring Kayak Forum. See the top menu drop down to select the appropriate place for your post.
The best of the best posts will be selected and featured in the main blog area.
2) There are now two kinds of support - a general kayaking support site for all Wilderness Systems kayaks, and a Fishing-specific support site for fishing, rigging, or angler model support.
3) Photos and Videos will continue to be posted as they were before, under the Media tab at the top of the website.
The website navigation and organization will evolve over the next 3 weeks to reflect these new changes and feature latest and greatest posts on the homepage.
