Adam Harbuck

Adam has been fishing the bayous, swamps, and marshes of Louisiana in small paddle craft for the last 35 years; he first started fishing from a pirogue at the age of 14. Specializing in shallow water techniques, he lives to hunt big bass in close quarters. He is known for fishing spinner baits, but his personal best beast of 11 pounds came on a toad. He is a firm believer that shallow water fish are feeding fish, and hunts for them in skinny water year around.
He is on the Pro Staff of YakAttack, KayakBassFishing.com, and HOOK1. Adam is very active in spreading the “gospel” of kayak angling to fishing clubs; as a seminar presenter and representing Wilderness Systems at trade shows and demo days, as well as a contributor to various media outlets.
He contends that once you fish for bass at eye level, once you experience the thrill of close quarters fishing and feel the adrenaline rush of landing a big fish in such tight confines, you will be a hooked on kayak bass fishing. “It's an adrenaline rush that far surpasses catching bass from 20' bass boats, chasing trout under the birds, or winching snapper up from the deck of a sportfisherman.”
