Jay Brooks

Jay Brooks has been kayak fishing since 2006, when he first discovered bull red fishing in Texas. He joined the Marines and moved to Virginia where he now resides with his wife Alessandra. Since then, he has taken the Virginia kayak fishing scene by storm. He began VirginiaKayakFisherman.com and has not looked back adding citations to his resume like notches to his belt.

He has been on the cover of Chesapeake Angler Magazine and has been published in Kayak Angler Magazine. He enjoys pushing himself harder than most anglers, and it shows in his results.

He takes competitive pride in the fact he's fishing from a kayak: "I love to know I am out-fishing guys in boats, there is no better feeling than landing a trophy fish right in front of boaters."
