Mark Pierpont

Born and raised in Southern California, Mark Pierpont bought his first Kayak in 1996. Mark began guiding in 2001 and has actively competed in kayak fishing tournaments since 2003. He has worked extensively with kayak, tackle and related product manufacturers to help improve and produce kayak fishing related products. Mark uses his Tarpon 160 to pursue his favorite species – Calico Bass.

Mark has numerous top 10 tournament finishes, participated in the first mothership expedition to the famed Cortez Bank 100 miles off  the California coast, was among the first to pursue largemouth bass from the kayak in Mexico’s Lake El Salto and won the single biggest purse ever awarded in a kayak fishing tournament.

Mark enjoys kayak fishing because "it makes the single act of catching a fish an accomplishment."
