Mark Pierpont

Nickname/Alter Ego:
Paddlefish

Age: 47

State/Hometown: Canoga Park CA

About Me: I bought my first kayak in 1996 and have been paddling and fishing ever since. I do a little guiding both local and expeditions in to Mexico. and I average about 10 kayak fishing tournaments a year. Known locally as a kayak fishing outfitter, I rig boats for local paddle shops and work on product development for other yak-fishing related products. My home waters are off the Malibu where I target Calico Bass and Halibut.

Professional Accomplishments:
3 major tournament wins and numerous top 10 finishes.

I was on the first mother-ship expedition to the “Cortez Bank” located 100 miles off the California coast and recognized as the first kayak angler to fish from a kayak on the world famous Mexican bass lake “EL Salto”.

Why I Love Kayak Fishing: It makes the simple act of catching a fish an accomplishment.
