Robert Vaughn

Robert is the owner of SC Kayak Fishing Adventures which he operates with his wife Joanne. He guides clients on the Columbia, SC area rivers and lakes for Stripers, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, cold water trout, and the inshores of Charleston, SC.

Robert became a Certified SCDNR Fishing Instructor in January, 2012. He teaches kids and parents that are new to fishing everything they need to know to fish for various species. He has been featured in the 2012 March issue of the SC Sportsman Magazine in the Palmetto Paddlers section by Phillip Gentry. He is the founding member of SC Kayak Fishing Association, along with Justin Carter (Lost@sea). They hold monthly meeting and fishing events to teach people new to kayak fishing the in and outs, as well as introducing kayak anglers to new waters and techniques.

Robert is currently on the Pro Staff for: Fins SuperPremium Braid, MirrOlure, Columbia Sportswear, Okuma, and Pro-Cure Bait Scent.

A lifetime angler, Robert has been fishing from the time he could stand and hold a pole. He grew up fishing for everything that swims in the waters of Santee Coopers Lake Marion. He would stay on his grandfather's houseboat on the weekends and a month during the summer, chasing everything that swims the waters of Santee Cooper.

Robert's first taste of tournament fishing started when he was 13, fishing in the Take a Child Fishing Tournament on Lake Wateree; from then on, he started to learn everything he could about bass fishing. Robert has won several Bass tournaments on Lake Wateree and Lake Marion. Fishing is in his blood, thanks to his grandfather.
