Tommy Samuels
Tommy owns and operates KayakFishSC, a kayak fishing guide service out of Charleston, South Carolina. He developed his passion for kayak fishing in 1991 when he built his first boat. In his search for the perfect kayak, he paddled 43 different models only to find that there isn't one perfect kayak. He did, however, find the best boats for his Low Country waters: the Tarpon series 140 and 160. He also found that the Ride 135 made a great client boat because of its remarkable stability.
Tommy spends a lot of time on water guiding trips, participating in fishing tournaments, or just paddling for pleasure. His favorite species is red drum because "nothing else makes [his] heart pound like the drag screaming run of a big red.” Tommy is also the Charleston Area Examiner for the popular website, Examiner.com and a member of the KayakBassFishing.com Pro Staff.
