Zephyr Designer's Statement

From the Designer of the Zephyr Series:

The Wilderness Systems Zephyr was designed to be a playful, friendly, balanced kayak that excels in rough sea conditions, rock gardens, surf and wind; yet, is still suitable for tripping needs. We designed the Zephyr to be extremely playful and maneuverable - to give paddlers a fun combination of maneuverability and sea worthy tracking. The beam and flare of the moderately soft-chined hull gives the Zephyr outstanding stability on edge. The deck and cockpit outfitting follows suit with the proven Tempest allowing maximum adjustability and comfort right off the showroom floor.

The Zephyr is built in two sizes, the 155 for smaller sized paddlers and loads up to 300 pounds and the 160 for paddlers with loads up to 350 pounds. Like all Wilderness Systems boats, this design went through considerable testing before the final edition was ready. Go have some fun with her!
