Brian Baulsir

About Me:

Brian grew up in the foothills of the Adirondack park in upstate NY with a fly rod in his hand.  From an early age, Brian has shown an intense passion for big trout and fishing in general. His fly fishing obsession took him to Maine, Oregon, Montana, Florida and all over the Empire State. In April of 2016, Brian entered his first kayak fishing tournament.  He won that tournament and a Wilderness Systems Ride 115 in the process and has been completely engulfed in the kayak fishing world ever since.

Brian has been fortunate enough to win 8 tournaments and a total of 4 Wilderness Systems kayaks throughout his kayak tournament career so far.  He’s done well enough to be crowned the angler of the year in 2017 and 2018 in his local tournament circuit. Additionally, Brian won the 2018 NY State Championship at the Great Sacandaga Lake and most recently, he took 15th place at the KBF TENvitational at Bienville Plantation in White Springs, Florida.  Brian lives near Saratoga Springs, NY and is helping to foster the growth of kayak tournament fishing in the Northeast. He is the president of a local KBF Partner Club; Adirondack Kayak Bass Fishing and promotes the sport on many different levels. In addition to Wilderness Systems, Brian’s affiliations include MountainMan Outdoor Supply Company and Dakota Lithium Outdoors.
