Team Wilderness

Brian Slone is a part of Appalachia America, where he has spent most of his life.  From his humble beginnings growing up on the “Country Music Highway”, to tournament champion, his roots and love of fishing grow deep.  His oldest and some of his fondest memories come from fishing with his family and friends.

Brian’s love of kayak angling began when he entered his first tournament which was the very first Kayak Fishing tournament held in the state of Kentucky. Brian fished and won this tournament out of his very first kayak, a Wilderness Systems Pamlico purchased for him by his wife. His prize for winning this tournament was a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120. Brian’s love for the sport continues today as he promotes it, as well as the preservation and protection of our natural resources.
