George J. Stevens was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas along the Texas Gulf Coast. After a 25+ year career, George considers himself fortunate to now be able to pick his days to terrorize the fish that inhabit his home waters. Given a choice, you'll find George scouting the shallow waters of the Upper Laguna Madre, searching for the tell-tale signs of a worthy opponent. He often finds the redfish and speckled trout ready, willing, and able.

George was bitten by the camera/video bug years ago. And found an ideal platform for partaking in such with hisTarpon 160. He lives for a good action shot, whether it be captured by his DSLR or his video camera.

He is proud to be an example of a fisherman who fishes out of a kayak by choice, rather than necessity. He often preaches "...the simplicity, the potential, and the camaraderie ain't gonna happen in any other fishing mode".

George recently teamed up with Dean 'Slowride' Thomas (also a Wilderness Systems Representative) of Slowride Guide Services in Aransas Pass, Texas to assist in Dean's kayak guiding operations.
