About Me:
Juan Veruete is an American Canoe Association certified kayak instructor and a licensed fishing guide in Pennsylvania. He conducts kayak fishing classes and guided kayak fishing trips on the Susquehanna and Juniata rivers through his business Kayak Fish PA, LLC. Despite being a kayak fishing guide on one of the best smallmouth bass waters in the north east, Juan's primary focus is helping kayak anglers improve their fishing and kayaking skills by conducting a variety of kayak fishing classes.
Juan has 40 years of fishing experience and has fished flowing water and lakes as far west as Texas. His specialty is river smallmouth bass but he is no stranger to the many other species of his home waters in Pennsylvania such as walleye, largemouth bass, pike, crappie and the illusive muskellunge.

Juan own's a variety of Wilderness Systems kayaks and finds value in matching his kayak choice to the water that he will be fishing on any given day. That being said, his Ride 135, Commander 140 and ATAK 140 see a lot of action during his classes and overnight guided trips.
Favorite Places to Kayak Fish:
Juan has fished many notable flows such as the Devil's River in Texas, The Cahaba River in Alabama, and the Flint River in Georgia just to name a few. That' being said, his favorite river is the Susquehanna in central Pennsylvania.
Why I Love Kayak Fishing:
There are many reasons that Juan loves kayak fishing. In the big picture, it's about being completely immersed in nature and in the pursuit of the sport he loves.
Kayak Fishing Accomplishments:
Juan is a teacher at heart and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the sport openly. He shares his kayak fishing know how by writing for a number of publications such as Kayak Angler, Kayak Fish and his own blog Kayak Fishing Instructor. Most notably, his kayak fishing classes on the Susquehanna River have become extremely popular. Kayak anglers have traveled from states as far away as Louisiana, Tennessee, and Minnesota to attend one of his classes
