Fantastic boat! Much faster than I expected; would've given 5 stars but I like built in rod holders, and some pockets on the seat or possibly in center access in floor. I own several Lure and Moken models and this is a notch above for speed and comfort. Definitely recommend for big guys, 250 plus.

I purchased a Radar 135 back in the Spring of 2017 after doing a lot of research. This is my first kayak and I have been thoroughly enjoying it. Feels like I am sitting in my chair at home. It is so stable and I can stand in it with no problem. Looking forward to getting the Helix Pedal Drive.

Talk about a versatile kayak!! Love this kayak! I like the wide, open platform. The seat is very comfortable for all day fishing and for someone with lower back issue like myself this is huge! (Wilderness offers a lumbar support feature you can add too). The kayak is great for those who love to paddle, it’s smooth and faster than I expected! I like to pedal for hands free fishing and this kayak allows you to do that with the Helix PD!I really like that the radar offers tons of storage space and with the build in track systems. I would recommend this kayak to any level of kayak angler…

Pedals!

I picked up my Radar 135 early 2017 and used it as my primary fishing kayak all season. Its easy enough to paddle but it really shines when paired with the Helix PD. I can pedal all day and then stand right up and fish when I get to the destination.

Absolutely love it. It is fast and stable enough for big water like the great lakes but feels just as at home on smaller bodies of water. Plenty stable enough to fly fish while standing on the seat in the high position. truly an awesome all around kayak.

The Radar 135 has really surprised me. Initially, I though I would only use the pedals, but I really enjoy paddling this kayak. The Helix PD pedal drive is a great system that I prefer to some other pedal kayaks I have tried. It is fast to pedal or paddle, and it tracks very well. It is also extremely stable, and the boat has ample room for standing and fishing. I love the seat too. Even in big water offshore, this kayak really excels.

Great Design, even better with the Helix PD

I fished the Radar 135 paired with the Helix PD exclusively last year - the Radar/Helix PD - were a great combination for striper fishing in New England. The hull is stable and rides over rough water very well. Very stable and comfortable - handles well in nasty conditions.

As someone who has used peddle powered kayaks for over a decade, I was greatly impressed with the Radar 135 and it has exceeded my expectations in comparison to other peddle-driven fishing kayaks. It is one of the only kayaks that I ever used that doesn't sacrifice speed for stability. It is wide and stable enough to stand and cast yet equally as fast as lighter and less stable kayaks. It peddles effortlessly and the precision of the rudder control is impressive. The speed of this kayak is greatly understated, and you will be able to cover a huge amount of water in a short time with the peddle drive. Highly recommended for trolling and casting in fresh and salt water. Plus, after using another brand for ten years, I found it to be an easy adjustment. This is the most versatile kayak you will find to fit your fishing needs in freshwater and salt.

Radar 135 with Helix PD

I was a self avowed paddle purist for over 15 years. Last year I decided to take a chance and got a Radar 135 with the Helix PD. I knew I would like pedaling for salt water but I was amazed how much of a difference pedaling made for my freshwater bass fishing. This kayak has totally changed the way that I fish!

I have been in many different kayaks but this is by far my favorite. The Radar tracks well both paddling and peddling. The stability of the kayak in the high seated position is great and just as good or better when standing . The rigging options are endless. I highly recommend this Kayak to anyone who is looking to have one boat to do it all for salt and fresh water to include rivers.

This is a follow up review to last falls. After adding built in rod holders and a few other add ons, this boat deserves 5 plus stars. Still can't get over the speed with this big of a boat. Now if designers could fit a wheel system on to this, it would dominate the market. Thanks Wilderness Systems. Now I keep right up with my wife and kids on their Pungo 120's and Aspire 105.

I love the 135. It is stable, fast, comfortable, and with the Helix drive you have immediate reverse. I sold another brand pedal kayak to by my Radar and don't regret it at all. It is a top notch fishing machine.

Growth potential

Received this boat as a birthday gift. It’s my first kayak, but had been my “Dream Kayak” since I first saw the reviews last year. I had planned to get into anything I could get my hands on and then, maybe, “trade-up” a few times before getting to this point. It’s everything I could want. Performance and build quality is here in spades, and the potential to grow and adapt to changing target species and techniques may be limited only by my imagination. The roominess is incredible...it feels like comfort and purpose wraps this boat. As a first-time kayaker coming from a lifetime of canoe angling; I feel like I haven’t lost any ability to access hidden waters and have just hit the mother-lode of fishability in a boat. Incredible design!
