Twelve year veteran of the Wilderness Systems Pro staff, Capt. Dean Thomas has been kayak fishing and guiding on the flats of Texas for over fifteen years. Owner and operator at Slowride Guide Services in Aransas Pass, TX Capt. Dean guides hundreds of clients each year to redfish, speckled trout and the other numerous species that inhabit the shallow waters of Redfish Bay. Home base for Dean is the Kayak Shack, the nerve center of SGS, where he launches trips all year and leads anglers to the fish of their dreams. Fishing season in South Texas is twelve months a year so the fun in the sun never ends.

A proficient photographer, outspoken conservationist, Scout leader and father of two Eagle Scouts, Dean is sought out by outdoor clubs, scout troops, and outdoor publications for public speaking, advice, and articles.
