Team Wilderness

Evan grew up fishing Back Bay and the local inlets around Virginia Beach for largemouth bass, striper, and flounder.  He picked up competitive fishing and his love for bass fishing in college as a member of the Virginia Tech Bass fishing team.  Evan has been an avid kayak fisherman since 2009 when he bought his first Tarpon 140.  He began hunting waterfowl from his kayak in 2013 when he realized that there were places that he wanted to get that he couldn't reach in a boat.

He has a love and appreciation of the outdoors and helping others to experience it.  As a member of the board of directors for the Back Bay Restoration Foundation he worked to expose people to the fishing, hunting, and wildlife resources of Back Bay.  Working for an outdoors retailer he enjoyed helping new and experienced kayakers find the perfect boat and paddle to fit their needs.  He also volunteers for the local Heroes on the Water chapter helping local wounded veterans.
