I've been teaching and guiding kayak anglers for over a decade. During that time I've learned that certain strategies can help put the odds in your favor when it comes to landing big bass. One of the absolute worst things a kayak angler can do is store their net behind them in a rod holder or under the bungee. I've seen many nice bass lost when a kayak angler turns to grab the net. At that moment, the angler looses contact with the fish and one leaping head shake or run at the kayak can cause some truly unnecessary heart break.
Here's a quick tip that I'm certain will help you land more big bass successfully. It's definitely helped me and my kayak fishing students.
